Hannah Black, PhD (University of Cambridge) is Visiting Professor of History and Theology at Virginia Theological Seminary. She is a systematic theologian whose research focuses on soteriology, drawing on early Christian theology to creatively and constructively re-articulate doctrine for today’s context. She is the author of Re-Imagining Salvation (under review) and the translator of Gregory of Nyssa’s On the Life of Virtue (under contract with St. Vladimir’s Seminary Press). She brings feminist theology into practice through her work on the Theologia and Feminist Theology Network leadership teams. Black previously taught at Yale Divinity School.
